Bloomberg names new First Word executive editor

Chris Collins, senior executive editor of breaking news at Bloomberg, sent out the following announcement on Monday:

I’m delighted to announce that Madeleine Lim will become Executive Editor for First Word. Since joining us in New York three years ago, Madeleine has been an editor on the fixed income team, the team leader for Americas FX and was last year promoted to Managing Editor for global FX. Under Madeleine’s leadership, our FX product has gone from strength to strength as we’ve added technical analysis, commentary and depth on emerging markets. We will post her current role on PATH <GO> and appoint a successor in due course.

As we’ve said, we’re very happy with the management, structure and content of First Word and look forward to its continued growth. Madeleine will work with Managing Editors James Holloway, Andrew Rummer and Jan Dahinten and collaborate with leaders across news to deliver definitive reporting across asset classes and build on our competitive edge.

Please join me in congratulating Madeleine!

Thanks, Chris
