Longtime Bloomberg staffer Brendan Murray has been promoted to managing editor of U.S. economic coverage.
Murray has been with Bloomberg since April 1998, as a commodities reporter, economics reporter, White House correspondent and as an economics editor in Washington and Sydney, Australia.
In addition, Alister Bull is now a team leader in charge of the Fed team. Bull joined Bloomberg in September 2014 after working for more than two decades at Reuters. Bull left Reuters at the end of 2013 after taking a buyout offer from the company. Along with the Federal Reserve, Bull covered the White House and the Treasury and the Iraq War.
Scott Lanman has been named team leader for U.S. economic indicators. He’s been with Bloomberg since September 1999 and was previously international economic policy editor and China economic editor.
Sarah McGregor has been named team leader for U.S. economic policy. She’s been with Bloomberg since May 2007, primarily in Africa.
Ruth Pollard has joined from the Sydney Morning Herald as a team leader in new Delhi for the economics and government team in South Asia.
Lastly, Carlos Torres retired from the news service. He was managing editor of U.S. economic coverage and had been with Bloomberg since 2001.
