Bloomberg names Marcum head of digital video

Paul Marcum has been named global head of digital video for Bloomberg Media.

He joined Bloomberg in December from GE where he was director of Global Digital Marketing. Paul was an instrumental driver of GE’s  content-focused strategy, which successfully married digital product and commerce and was widely praised by advertisers, marketers and media influencers.

Bloomberg has integrated its television and digital operations and has built a foundation, ending in 2013 as the leader in business video in terms of views.

In this role, Marcum will work to expand Bloomberg’s digital video offerings through experimentation, while striving to improve the viewer experience, amp up distribution, increase volume and explore high-profile partnerships.

Marcum is considered a pioneer through including leadership roles at Yahoo!, Sesame Workshop and Modem Media. Named to Ad Age’s Creativity 50 in 2012, Marcum is a graduate of Northwestern University.
