Bloomberg names Chiglinsky its new Buffett reporter

Katherine Chiglinskly has been named the new Warren Buffett reporter at Bloomberg News.

She replaces Noah Buhayar and will also cover life insurance. Buhayer will now cover West Coast real estate.

Chiglinsky has been at Bloomberg since December 2014 as a reporter in the New York bureau, writing about General Electric and financial services companies. She’s a graduate of the College of William and Mary, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper.

Buhayar, who has been at Bloomberg since June 2010, has also reported for The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, CBS’s business site BNET.com and MarketWatch.com.

He’s a graduate of the Cal-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and is based in Seattle.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
