Bloomberg names Bolongaro its new Canada government reporter

Kait Bolongaro

Award-winning politics journalist Kait Bolongaro will be joining Bloomberg’s Ottawa bureau as a government reporter.

Most recently, she was working freelance covering broad issues in the European Union politics and policy.

Before that, she was a correspondent at The Capitol Forum and also held the post of a reporter with Politico Europe covering international issues ranging from the NATO Summit and the EU Leaders Summit to Brexit.

She has also worked as a business reporter at BBC and served as a journalist and features reporter at Deutsche Welle and Al Jazeea Media Network, respectively. Additionally, Bolongaro has worked freelance at Facebook and worked as a politics editor and editor-in-chief at Cafébabel, which is a European magazine.

She also has experience working as a researcher, contributor and columnist.

Bolongaro received a bachelor’s degree in French and African studies from The University of British Columbia and earned her master’s degree in journalism and media across cultures from Universität Hamburg. She has another master’s degree in journalism and media and globalization from Aarhus University.
