Arie Shapira, managing editor for global equities strategy at Bloomberg News, has left the news organization after nine years for a new opportunity.
His last day was Wednesday. Shapira declined to comment.
Shapira joined Bloomberg in March 2010 as an equities reporter covering energy, basic materials and industrials. He became a deputy team leader in January 2013 and a team leader in August 2014.
He became a managing editor in April 2018, managing content and overall strategy for Bloomberg’s global equities news product.
Before Bloomberg, Shapira worked on Wall Street for Assent LLC, Bear Stearns and JP Morgan.
