Valerie Bauman of The Daily Mail’s New York bureau has been hired by Bloomberg Law as a senior legal reporter covering health care and the pharmaceutical industry
She previously covered immigration, jobs and the economy for The Daily Mail, where she has been for the past year.
Bauman previously joined Newsday in September. 2014 and covered the town of Islip. Before that, she worked at the Puget Sound Business Journal covering health care policy and the marijuana industry.
Before joining the American City Business Journals paper, Bauman worked for the Weber Shandwick public relations firm for 17 months.
She formerly reported for five years for the Associated Press in Albany, New York, and other locations.
She has a degree from Western Washington University.
