Bloomberg launching “Gadgets with Gurman” video series

Bloomberg is launching Wednesday a new digital video series hosted by consumer technology reporter Mark Gurman.

The show, “Gadgets with Gurman,” will feature Gurman reviewing a new product each week highlighting key features, shortcuts and cost.

Gurman will answer live questions from the audience collected on various social media channels, giving viewers the chance to interact with not only him but also the products. For key products such as smartphones and tablets, Gurman will break down the cost of ownership, a unique feature for this show, to help viewers figure out which plan or wireless carrier best fits their needs.

The show will stream live on Facebook, Periscope, Bloomberg.com, and the Bloomberg Terminal for 15-20 minutes every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Bloomberg hopes to eventually compile clips from the series into TV packages that will also air on Bloomberg Television.

The inaugural episode will feature the new Galaxy S8 ahead of its consumer launch date on April 21.
