Andrew Satter

Josh Block, executive producer for video and audio at Bloomberg Industry Group, sent out the following announcement on Thursday:

Andrew Satter, senior director for video at the Center for American Progress, joins us on Monday as our senior video journalist.

At CAP, Andrew produced documentary and explainer videos on the environment, immigration, and taxes among other topics. An example of his prior work is this video about a Montana rancher working to keep his land free of pollution –  there are some fantastic shots of big sky country here. He has also served as a video contributor to the New York Times, with this video about a 2018 Florida voting rights ballot initiative.

Previously, Andrew worked as a video producer at CQ Roll Call, where he held the distinction of being the first digital video journalist to receive press credentials to cover Congress. While there, he produced this MTV Cribs style series, visiting offices of members of Congress including this future Vice President.

Andrew grew up in Albuquerque (ask him about Breaking Bad locations) and went to college at Washington University in St. Louis where he majored in English. He also earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern. Besides CAP and CQ Roll Call, he also worked at the Arizona Daily Star as a multimedia producer.

Andrew will help us reach our goal of regularly producing high quality videos about the legal, government, tax, and environment topics that our subscribers care about most.

Finally, you should know Andrew’s Batman actor power rankings. He has Christian Bale: #1, Adam West and Michael Keaton: #2 (tie), and everyone else: last.

Andrew starts on Monday. Please welcome him to Bloomberg Industry Group.
