Bloomberg hires McBride to cover venture capital

Sarah McBride

Brad Stone, head of Bloomberg News’ tech coverage globally, sent out the following announcement on Monday:

Colleagues, I’m excited to announce that Sarah McBride will be joining Bloomberg’s Global Technology team to cover venture capital and startups.

For the last five years, Sarah has been a correspondent at Reuters, mostly covering venture capital. She’s broken countless stories and written features, including those about the inner-workings of Kleiner Perkins, age bias within technology startups, and how entrepreneurs of a certain background and pedigree have far greater access to venture capital. For more than a decade before that, she worked at the Wall Street Journal, with stints in DC, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
Sarah will be based in San Francisco, reporting to Mark Milian. After spending a week with the team in New York, she will begin in the SF bureau on July 5.
