Ed Greenspon, a former editor in chief of the Globe and Mail in Toronto, has joined Bloomberg News as its Canadian editor-at-large.
A Canadian Press story states, “Greenspon will be leading a team that will work on expanding the international news agency’s investigative and explanatory journalism in Canada.
“The former Globe and Mail editor-in-chief, who was most recently vice-president of business development at the Toronto Star, says he’s excited to help create great journalism.
“‘We want to make a big mark,’ Greenspon said in an interview from New York.
“‘We already have a great team of about 30 journalists and now we want to do more complex journalism that will have more impact.’
“He says Bloomberg is a good place for that because the company has the staff and resources to invest in the type of journalism that stretches many other organizations too thin.”
