Joseph Deaux, a reorter for TheStreet.com, has been hired to work at Bloomberg News.
Deaux will be heading to Bloomberg as a commodities reporter covering base metals. He starts Aug. 18.
At TheStreet, Deaux has covered everything from markets, the Federal Reserve Board, gold and politics.
Deaux reported on the 2012 presidential election, including covering both the Democratic and Republican national conventions that summer — something TheStreet had never done before.
Deaux joined TheStreet in May 2011. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and two master’s degrees from Columbia University, where he attended the Graduate School of Journalism.
