Colleagues, I’m very excited to announce that Matt Day will be joining us as a reporter in our Seattle bureau, starting in early December. Matt has most recently covered Amazon for the Seattle Times, breaking news of layoffs at the tech giant as well reporting for a team that earned a Sabew for its coverage of Amazon’s HQ2 search. He also has written extensively about Microsoft, breaking news about about charges that it’s overaggressive in getting customers to install new software, and about complaints of sexual harassment. Matt previously worked at the Wall Street Journal, where he covered emerging financial markets. And he’s originally from the rural town of Silverton, Oregon – home of the Foxes. Please join me in welcoming Matt (he’s cced here) to the team.
