Simone Foxman, wealth reporter for Bloomberg, will soon be taking on an expanded area of coverage and moving to Qatar from New York City. She explained her new role in an email:
My new job will be far more generalist than my position on the Wealth team was. I’m going to be our only person in Qatar, so I’ll probably end up covering everything from finance to energy to market moves to geopolitics. It’s a hybrid role — I’ll be contributing to our Daybreak Middle East TV show, helping TV cover and produce events and interviews, and I’ll also continue to write print stories for the Terminal, web, and our other publications.
Foxman had covered wealth for Bloomberg since early 2018, and prior to that was an investing reporter for the outlet. She has also worked as a reporter for Absolute Return, Quartz, and Business Insider. She has a degree in economics and Middle Eastern studies from Columbia University.
