Bloomberg Businessweek was the only business magazine to win a 2021 National Magazine Award, commonly known as the Ellies.
The publication won in the single-topic category for “The Lost Year.”
Two hundred and thirty-one national and regional publications submitted entries this year, including 440 print, 595 digital and 127 multiplatform. This year marks the first time digital entries surpassed print.
Harvard Business Review was named a finalist in the special interest category. MIT Technology Review was named a finalist in the literature, science and politics category.
Fast Company and Wired were named finalists in the design category.
Blomberg Businessweek was also finalist in the personal service category for “Working From Home: The Ultimate Guide to Staying Productive—and Sane.”
The Economist was a finalist in the columns and commentary category for three “Obituary” columns by Ann Wroe.
