Bloomberg BNA hires Jeffries to cover telecom and tech

Tara Jeffries

Morning Consult reporter Tara Jeffries has been hired by Bloomberg BNA to cover telecom and tech.

She starts her new position on June 12.

Jeffries has been covering financial policy and politics for Morning Consult, covering the intersection of Congress and the financial services industry, with a dash of tax policy, trade and occasional coverage of the presidential candidates’ economic proposals.

She previously worked at the Student Press Law Center and PBS “News Hour.”

Jeffries is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she worked at The Daily tar Heel.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
