Butters has been at Bloomberg for the past 10 years as an auto reporter and editor. As a reporter, he covered Fiat Chrysler US LLC, dealers and U.S. auto sales.
Before joining Bloomberg, he worked eight years for the Detroit Free Press as an auto reporter and as a business and auto editor.
Butters also worked three years at the Lexington Herald-Leader as a business reporter covering autos, manufacturing, economic development and other major industries.
He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
