Blanca Torres returns to SF Biz Times

Blanca Torres

San Francisco Business Times editor Patrick Chu sent out the following staff hire announcement on Friday:

Folks: I’m very pleased to announce the return of Blanca Torres as real estate and economic development reporter. Blanca did an amazing job for us, winning awards at the East Bay Press Club, the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club and the California Newspaper Publishers Association. She first started working for the Business Times during the depths of the recession and consistently broke news through 2014, when she left us for the Seattle Times. She worked there as an editorial writer, columnist and economics reporter.  No doubt, Blanca will use her deep knowledge and comprehensive network of sources she developed in the Bay Area when she returns to us this month. She will work alongside Roland Li, who has been lighting up our scoreboard of exclusive scoops.

Torres was also a business writer at the Contra Costa Times. She’s a Vanderbilt University graduate.
