Cassie Cope, a business reporter for the Charlotte Observer, has left the paper to work in communications for Honeywell.
Her last day at the Observer was Feb. 15. She starts at Honeywell on March 4. Honeywell is relocating its headquarters to Charlotte and Cope’s title will be senior brand journalist, writing articles for Honeywell.com.
Cope had been at the Observer since September 2017, covering energy, health care, aviation and growth and development.
She previously worked at The State newspaper in Columbia, South Carolina, as a political reporter and a general assignment reporter.
Cope is a University of South Carolina graduate.
