Biz journalists on Forbes 30 under 30 media list
Media reporter Brian Stelter of the New York Times, “SquawkBox” producer Maneet Ahuja and Daniel Fletcher, social media director for Bloomberg News and Businessweek, are among the business journalists listed on the 30 under 30 list of media professionals by Jeff Bercovici of Forbes.
Fletcher, writes Bercovici, is a “a social media whiz kid who helps big news organizations wrap their heads around the future.” Zach Seward, who has a similar job at The Wall Street Journal, is also on the list.
Also on the list is Alex Leo, direct of news content at Reuters Digital. She is a former Huffington Post editor now helping Reuters figure out the future of digital news.
Bercovici also includes Laurie Segall, who covers the tech industry and social media for CNNMoney, both online and on the air. Alexia Tsotsis, who also covers tech for TechCrunch, also made the list.
Stelter, writes Bercovici, “thinks sleep is for chumps.” Andrew Ross Sorkin, the business columnist for the New York Times and CNBC, claims that Ahuja has a deeper Rolodex than his, reports Bercovici.
