Nancy Trejos, who most recently was with Travel Weekly, has left the publication.
“I’m looking for a reporting or editing job, not necessarily in travel. I’ve covered many beats in my career, including a stint in Baghdad for the Post, so I can cover anything,” she said in a message.
Before Travel Weekly, she was hospitality editor for Skift. Trejos has been a travel writer for USA Today, covering hotels and destinations. She has been at USA Today since 2011 before leaving in February 2019.
Prior to that, she spent 13 years at The Washington Post. She covered education and local government. She did a stint in Iraq to write about the war. She then covered real estate and personal finance during the recession. Her last few years at the Post were spent as a travel writer.
She has also worked for the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press and contributed to Latina magazine.
