Editor Michael Lyster of the Orange County Business Journal writes Monday that the weekly business newspaper’s web site — as well as the web sites of some of its sister publications — were hacked into during the holiday weekend.
Lyster wrote, “A hacker broke into the site and replaced story headlines and bylines with ‘Hacked_By_HaCkPeReSt.’ Links to stories in our archive also are disrupted.
“We’ve fixed the stories on our home page and are working to get the rest of the site back up and running as usual.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
“The hacker appears to be a teen from Turkey known for such stunts. He’s attacked many sites in Turkey, Russia and Eastern Europe.”
