John Pulliam, the business editor of the Galesburg Register-Mail who left the Illinois paper in October to move to California, is returning to the paper as a business reporter.
“He had been doing freelance work there for an online publication, but the budget was cut and he found himself out of work. He’s moving back to Galesburg this week to take the open reporter position at The Register-Mail. The position became vacant when Jane Huh resigned to take a job at the Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake.
“I’m pleased to have John back in the newsroom. As I wrote when he left, he’s a pillar in our newsroom. We welcome his return.”
