Paul Mullaney, the business editor of the Munster Times newspaper in northwest Indiana, has been promoted to managing editor, according to a story in Sunday’s paper.
Keith Benman wrote, “Mullaney, 48, has served in a variety of posts in 18 years at the newspaper, including those of sports editor, managing editor for newsroom operations and most recently business editor.
“‘Paul brings all the traits of an accomplished journalist to his new role plus his long-standing knowledge of our community,’ said William Nangle, Times executive editor. ‘He is the ideal fit to manage the day-to-day operations of The Times newsroom.'”
Benman later reported that Bill Bero, 54, has been appointed business editor for The Times. He currently edits the Times publication BusINess magazine.
