Biz editor named for Pennsylvania papers

Burton J. “Burt” Stein, a financial information editor with more than 25 years of experience, has been named business editor of The Post Publications and will help provide local business news coverage for The Sanatoga Post, The Limerick Post, The Pottstown Post, and The Main Street Post.

“Burt’s agreement to help The Posts boost their business news coverage is welcomed at a time when readers tell us they’re increasingly interested in hearing more about what’s happening at the stores they frequent, the companies they buy from, and the licensed professionals they rely on,” the online news services’ managing editor, Joe Zlomek, said in a statement. “We’re delighted to have his assistance.”

Stein has spent the bulk of his professional career researching, writing and explaining to others the ins-and-outs of global economics, securities, commodities, financial management, retirement and estates.

He has worked as a senior editor, research editor, editor or copy editor for IndexUniverse LLC, Adams Consulting Group LLC, Morgan Joseph TriArtisan LLC, Barclays Capital Inc., the former Lehman Brothers Inc., Smith Barney, and the former E.F. Hutton & Co.
