C. Grant Jackson, who was the business editor and later the business columnist for The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C., is leaving the paper to take a job at the local chamber of commerce.
A story Tuesday stated, “Jackson came to The State from the Dayton Daily News in 1996. He was the executive business editor until 2002, when he became the paper’s business columnist.

“Jackson led The State’s business section when it was twice named Best In Business by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.”
