Birmingham Business Journal editor leaves paper

Cindy Fisher Crawford, , the editor of the Birmingham Business Journal, has left the American City Business Journals paper.

On Facebook, Crawford wrote, “We kicked butt and took names, winning more awards in my tenure than any time in its 30-year history. I’m excited about what life has in store for me next!”

She declined comment when contacted by Talking Biz News.

Before joining the Alabama business weekly in 2007, Fisher spent five years at the Daytona Beach News Journal in Florida as a reporter and 20 months at the Waterbury Republican-American in Connecticut as a reporter.

Fisher, a University of Alabama graduate, also worked at the Birmingham Post-Herald from 1998 to 2001.
