Bingham named editor of New Haven Biz

Michael Bingham

Michael Bingham has been named the editor in chief of New Haven Biz.

Bingham writes, “From Eli Whitney’s cotton gin to A.C. Gilbert’s Erector Set to New England’s first technology incubator, New Haven has an unparalleled history as a hotbed of creativity, change and innovation.

“For me, today represents a kind of coming home. I have practiced journalism here since the 1990s. As a founder and editor of a successful business publication I got to know well the people and organizations that define and energize our region. As creator of a monthly city magazine I was proud to edit what many regarded as the best magazine between New York and Boston.

“Today, that’s my mission statement for New Haven Biz — to bring our readers a publication that’s as unique, vital and even unpredictable as the business community we cover and celebrate. Our promise is to inform, update and even, yes, to entertain. We’re delighted and proud to have you along for the journey. I know it will be a rewarding one.”
