The current issue has 392 pages, with 236 pages worth of ads. A decade ago, the issue had 410 pages.
For comparison, the 2013 issue had 356 pages and was up 36 pages in advertising from 2012.
This is the first Fortune 500 that Alan Murray, who joined the magazine less than a year ago, has edited.
Fortune publisher Eric Danetz had great success on the advertising side. The Fortune 500 issue had 40 percent growth in the number of new advertisers in print this year and 25 percent increase in new advertisers on Fortune.com.
The June 15, 2015 issue of Fortune goes on sale on Monday.
