Politico reporter Sutton to cover fintech and cryptos

Sam Sutton

Sam Sutton, a reporter covering health care for Politico’s New Jersey bureau, will be switching beats and moving to Politico’s financial services desk to cover fintech and cryptos.

His new role begins Dec. 20.

Prior to joining Politico, Sutton was senior editor at Buyouts Insider, a UCG company. Before that, he worked at Buyouts when it was owned by Reuters.

Sutton was also a senior staff writer at Private Equity International. He has also served as managing editor, chief staff writer and associate news editor at The Flat Hat in Williamsburg, Virginia. He has also worked at Bay Area News Group.

Sutton has a B.A. in English and economics from William & Mary.
