Rory Cellan-Jones, BBC technology correspondent, is leaving the network after 40 years.
Adam Miller of Metro UK writes, “The 63-year-old said his role as tech correspondent has been the ‘best job imaginable’ but it was time to explore new ventures.
“Sharing the news on Twitter, he wrote: ‘Some personal news..in late October I shall be leaving the BBC.
“‘I’ve had the most fabulous time working with brilliant people, but after 40 years it’s time to move on…’
“He went on to share some of his personal highlights from his time at the BBC, which saw him grow from starting a researcher on Look North, BBC News for Yorkshire, before reporting on shows such as the Money Programme in the 1990s, and fronting his radio series Tech Tent which he launched in 2014.”
