BBC News is recruiting a producer to join its business and economics team in New York City. Main Responsibilities
In this role you will work with our reporters and production staff to make video and radio news content for the BBC. You will come up with story ideas, identify the right pictures, book contributors and, ideally, shoot and edit much of the material yourself. You will do this usually to tight deadlines and always to the highest editorial standards. You will also assist the New York business editor in planning the team’s coverage.
Are you the right candidate?
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record of covering economic and business news
- Experience producing high quality news video.
- A commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Significant recent experience as a journalist, with a good knowledge of production techniques.
- Ability to use technology as required, in order to gather material for broadcast.
