Bartholomew joins WSJ London bureau as intern

Jem Bartholomew has joined The Wall Street Journal London bureau focusing on money-adjacent stories.

Previously, he was a reporter at The Washington Monthly. He has also worked at the Financial Times as a staff reporter where he was awarded ‘Best Newcomer 2019’ in the State Street press awards for pensions reporting at FT Specialist.

He also came first in the FT’s competition on the future of journalism.

Bartholomew left the FT after being awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study at Columbia Journalism School.

Bartholomew has also served as a reporting intern on the home news desk at The Times. He also worked on the foreign, data and investigative teams.

He was also a researcher on the Cambridge Analytica investigation, and worked on other stories for The Observer. Bartholomew was also an editorial intern at The Week U.K.

Additionally, he has also worked at Cherwell Newspaper, University of Oxford as a film editor and reporter.

Bartholomew is a B.A. in history from University of Oxford and a M.A. in journalism from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
