Longtime insurance reporter Suzanne Barlyn has left Reuters for a job at The Hartford.
Barlyn will become assistant director of media and public relations at the insurance company. Her first day is April 19.
Barlyn has been at Reuters since September 2011. For the first four years at the news agency, she wrote and edited wealth management columns.
Before Reuters, Barlyn worked at Dow Jones Newswires, where she wrote Compliance Watch, a column about regulatory and compliance issues affecting financial advisers. She also contributed to The Wall Street Journal and was a staff writer at Fortune magazine for two years.
Barlyn is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
