John Dinkel, the publisher of the Baltimore Business Journal for more than a decade, has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Ryan Sparrow of the Business Journal writes, “‘I’ve had 16 great years with the Baltimore Business Journal and American City Business Journals,’ Dinkel said. ‘As much as I’m going to miss it, I’m ready to try something different and take on a new challenge.’
“American City Business Journals will immediately start a search to find Dinkel’s successor.
“‘During his tenure as ad director and publisher, John made numerous contributions to ACBJ and Baltimore,’ said Whitney Shaw, CEO of American City Business Journals, noting Dinkel’s involvement as a board member of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore and Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
“Dinkel has more than 20 years of experience in the media industry. He served in numerous leadership roles in daily and weekly news organizations, including the Daily Times in Salisbury, the Altoona Mirror, the Record in Troy, N.Y., Patuxent Publishing and the Maryland Daily Record.”
