Ballhaus joining WSJ’s investigations team
Rebecca Ballhaus, a reporter covering the White House for The Wall Street Journal, is joining the newspaper’s investigations team.
She will focus on government-related stories.
Ballhaus has been covering the White House and money in politics. During the 2016 election, she covered campaign finance in the presidential race.
She was one of the reporters who covered the use of money by President Donald Trump to silence critics, which earned her and her colleagues a Pulitzer Prize in 2019. “Trump’s Hush’ Money” covers Trump’s payment to Michael Cohen to cover up the story of Stormy Daniels.
She first joined the Journal in 2013 and is a graduate of Brown University.
