Axios hires Pringle, Brodwin for Health Tech Deals newsletter

Axios has hired Sarah Pringle and Erin Brodwin as the co-authors of Axios Pro: Health Tech Deals, a new Axios Pro newsletter coming in early 2022.

The newsletter will be one of the first offerings from Axios Pro, Axios’ forthcoming premium subscription product suite for professional audiences.

Beginning with dedicated newsletters for the health tech, fintech and retail industries, Axios Pro will provide premium news, access and events for professionals across every major industry.

Sarah Pringle

Pringle joins Axios from PE Hub, where she led health care coverage and served as editor. Prior to joining PE Hub/Buyouts Insider in 2017, she held previous reporting roles at The Deal and Bloomberg.

Brodwin was previously a health tech reporter at STAT News, where she co-authored the STAT Health Tech newsletter. Her writing has appeared in major news outlets including Business Insider, Newsweek and Scientific American, as well as several academic publications.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
