Axios has hired Ryan Lawler to write about fintech deals in a newsletter with Lucinda Shen, who recently joined from Reuters.
Lawler has been at TechCrunch since August working on fintech coverage.
Lawler has been head of content at Samsung NEXT for the previous four years. He was also a partner in the venture capital firm 500 startups.
At TechCrunch from 2012 to 2015, he wrote breaking news and analysis about strategic business alliances, startup financing, leadership changes, and M&A activity. He previously worked at GigaOm.
