Axios has hired auto industry reporting titan Joann Muller, who currently is Detroit bureau chief for Forbes.
She starts Oct. 1.
Muller brings more than 20 years of experience reporting in the auto and tech industries to Axios as it veers into delivering the news and insight on the future of autonomous vehicles.
She’ll be writing Axios’ Autonomous Vehicles Newsletter, which features expert analysis of autonomous technology, and its impact on cities, policy and the economy.
At Forbes, where she has been since 2002, Muller was responsible for shaping Forbes’ coverage of the global auto industry and the future of transportation as well as recruiting and managing a pool of 25+ freelance contributors around the world.
Muller has covered the auto beat for more than 20 years and previously was at BusinessWeek, The Detroit Free Press and The Boston Globe. She has provided expert commentary on national TV and radio outlets, including NPR and CNBC.
Muller holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
