The Austin American-Statesman newspaper in Texas said Tuesday that it is revamping its business section, including what appears to be overhauling its stock market listings and putting more of that information on its web site.

The paper said, “The American-Statesman is adding more local business news and revising our market package, with more local news and new online features that will let you check current stock prices on more than 3,500 stocks and mutual funds.

“Here’s our new lineup:

“•Tuesdays: We’re adding the weekly personal finance Q&A from top columnist Scott Burns, who also appears in our Sunday Business & Personal Finance section. Find his column on exchange-traded funds today on the back page.

“•Wednesdays: Up the Ladder has who’s moving up, getting hired or switching companies in management in the Austin area.

“•Thursdays: Commercial real estate tracks the deals and the dealers in Austin’s hot office, retail and industrial markets.

“•Fridays: Business philanthropy spotlights donations, volunteer events and other community contributions from Central Texas companies of all sizes.”
