Kara Carlson
The Austin American-Statesman has hired Kara Carlson to cover the technology, software and startups.
She started on Monday.
Carlson had spent the summer interning on the Dallas Morning News business news desk. She is a two-time graduate of Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
She worked for a number of positions, from reporter to executive editor, for the Downtown Devil, an independent hyperlocal publication that covers downtown Phoenix.
She has also interned at Reuters, Phoenix Business Journal, The Seattle Times, The Arizona Republic, The Orange County Register, and Foodbeast.com.
