Austin Business Journal has promoted Will Anderson from digital editor to managing editor.
A story on its website states, “Anderson now manages the ABJ newsroom’s day-to-day operations under longtime Editor Colin Pope, and Anderson will oversee the weekly edition’s Venture section highlighting startups and entrepreneurs.
“‘Will is a big reason why ABJ continues to buck journalism trends by growing paid subscribers each and every year without fail,’ Editor Colin Pope said. ‘Just a few weeks ago the Texas Press Association honored his work with a ‘best website’ award. He has been a fantastic steward of our digital side, and I’m excited to see where he takes the newsroom with this larger focus and responsibility.’
“Anderson has been the newspaper’s digital editor since 2015. He cut his teeth on business journalism at the ABJ in 2009 as an intern.”
