Amy Wenk, the commercial real estate reporter at the Atlanta Business Chronicle, is leaving the paper after nearly eight years.

Wenk has accepted a position as communications manager for commercial real estate firm CBRE in Atlanta. Her last day at the American City Business Journals paper will be Dec. 20. She previously worked at Midtown Patch.

In addition, the Business Chronicle has hired Chris Fuhrmeister to cover the restaurant and airport beat. He replaces Alex Gailey, who left earlier this year.

Fuhrmeister is a former editor of food website Eater. He also worked on the sports desk of the Birmingham News.

“We are looking forward to him joining the ABC staff,” said editor in chief David Allison in a note to the staff.
