Assistant biz editor leads Dallas paper's iPad effort

Bob Mong, the editor of the Dallas Morning News, writes about the work of Paul O’Donnell, an assistant business editor who has led the paper’s efforts in launching an iPad application.

Mong writes, “Paul and his staff devote their time to providing you with the best possible tablet experience.

“While Paul is a sophisticated new media journalist, his roots are deeply fixed in enduring news values. He came to us a couple of years ago as a highly awarded business editor at The Plain Dealer, Ohio’s largest newspaper.

“Digital tablets are a game changer, Paul believes. ‘It truly gives us an opportunity to redefine how we tell stories by taking advantage of the multimedia capabilities of devices like the iPad.'”
