Neil Fleming has been appointed senior vice president, editorial at Argus.
Argus is a global commodity price reporting and news service. Fleming will lead editorial strategy and manage and develop the company’s coverage of commodities markets globally.
Fleming brings more than 30 years of experience in energy and commodities markets to the organization. He initially stared off as a market reporter, news reporter, and editor at Platts. There, he also held the post of editor in chief of its real-time oil information service.
He was later promoted to the position of global vice president. Fleming also served as vice president of strategy and business development.
In 2009, he joined Reed Business Information’s ICIS group as a strategic advisor. He held this post up until 2018. He has also consulted for the International Energy Agency in Paris, and for sub-Saharan African oil consultancy Citac.
“Neil’s knowledge of how to manage large, complex business information organizations is unique,” Argus Media chairman and chief executive Adrian Binks said. “He has unrivaled understanding both of the markets Argus serves and of how to develop the quality of information that they need. We are delighted to have him on board at a time when we are expanding and broadening our expertise so rapidly.”
