Chris Argentieri has been appointed president of the California Times. The news was announced on Monday, according to reports.
“It’s my pleasure to share that Chris Argentieri, who has served as our Chief Operating Officer since June 2018, has been appointed President of California Times,” wrote executive chairman Patrick Soon-Shiong in an internal memo to staff.
In his new role, Argentieri will also be heading the Los Angeles Times which he joined in 2014 as general manager and San Diego Union-Tribune, both falling under the California Times.
Additionally, he will also be retaining his position of chief operating officer of the Los Angeles Times along with taking on the duties of his new role.
