Appleton paper to cut stock listings

The Appleton Post-Crescent newspaper in Wisconsin announced in Friday’s paper that it will cut its weekday stock listings and replace them with national business stories. The change begins next Tueday.

The weekend stock listings are also being cut from four pages to two pages.

The change comes less than three weeks after a new business editor started work at the paper. Larry Avila, a business journalist for much of his 16-year professional career, began work June 6 as The Post-Crescent’s business editor.
