Another Bloomberg Businessweek senior writer resigns

Chad Terhune is a senior writer for Bloomberg Businessweek based in Florida, has resigned, becoming the second senior writer to resign recently.

It’s unclear what Terhune’s plans are. Attempts to reach him were unsuccessful. One source on the magazine’s staff said he resigned on Wednesday, while another source at Bloomberg says he resigned in November.

Wednesday was the last day for staffers to receive money based on their former service while at BusinessWeek under McGraw-Hill’s ownership. The magazine was acquired by Bloomberg L.P. one year ago.

David Henry resigned on Monday and is now looking for work.

Terhune, a University of Florida graduate, previously worked for The Wall Street Journal for 11 years. He joined BusinessWeek in early 2008.

He wrote memorable page one stories for The Journal on the 2000 Florida recount (an interesting time to be named Chad), the anthrax attacks, Hurricane Katrina, the Richard Scrushy investigation, and abuses in the health insurance industry, for which he won a National Press Club award in 2003.
