Mark Barton, an anchor on Bloomberg Television for the past 23 years, has left the news organization.
Barton most recently was the anchor for “Bloomberg Markets” and “The European Close” based in London
“I started as an intern in March 1995, armed with a history degree and zero knowledge of business or journalism,” wrote Barton on LinkedIn. “Over the course of the next 23 years, I anchored all of Bloomberg TV’s prime-time programs and conducted over 10,000 live interviews with some of the most influential figures from the worlds of business and politics. That’s what Bloomberg is about.”
Barton also worked as a Bloomberg Radio reporter and as a markets team leader for the news organization. He previously anchored shows such as “On the Money” and “European Market Report.”
He’s a University of London graduate in history.
