Amy Chen, the managing editor at Linkedin Travel and Special Projects, is leaving her position to join Airbnb.

When I joined in Nov. 2012 as a San Francisco-based contractor, I had no idea I’d be lucky enough to get to stay and see us surpass 600 million members — or grow to 60+ editors around the world!” she wrote on LinkedIn.

Chen worked in that role since April 2016, where she managed editors, collaborated with data scientists, and oversaw various projects. Prior to her time as managing editor, she also worked as an editor and community manager. Chen has worked with Linkedin, the business and employment-oriented service, for over six years.

She will be Airbnb’s managing editor of host communications.

Prior to her time at Linkedin, Chen was a freelance writer for magazines such as Money, Real Simple, and more, from January 2010 to July 2014. She also worked at Frommers.com from February 2010 to January 2012. She graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in journalism
